hate hearing why don’t we know who Luis Robert is from national people as they see his long homers in the derby. hey, how about we don’t know what the Sox are cause ESPN is clueless regularly.

I’m about to get off an international flight at O’Hare and dreading it because the place is a dump. Embarrassing for a “world class city”.

I am really glad I am not a fundraiser soliciting donations for Northwestern’s new football stadium. Yikes.

This Northwestern story is going to keep getting worse before it gets better, isn’t it?

Any Northwestern players are welcome to duck the rivalry and transfer to Illinois. I am sure Bielema will be happy to take them.

Embarrassing for a “world class city”.
I flew into Chicago from Munich in 2019. My first stop after landing at O’Hare was the men’s bathroom. The bathroom was dated, dirty, and smelled of urine. I can still remember how sad I felt that this would be the first impression international travelers would have of Chicago.

I think it has improved a lot since then. Still a long way to go, though. New York’s LaGuardia has done a complete 180. Wow.

You must not travel too often thru airports.
I can’t remember too many folks lauding New York airports, as one example…

It’s always a process.
Not unlike professional sports facilities, but I digress…

While it is not always a workable possibility, I usually prefer to fly out of Midway rather than O’Hare. Since MDW was updated a number of years ago the facility is much nicer and the concessions are far more economical than at overpriced ORD.
I know of people in northern Illinois who prefer to use Mitchell Field for similar reasons.

I spent several years regularly traveling between Chicago and Portland, OR, and it really highlighted for me how dreary O’Hare is. PDX is beautiful with tons of great little shops and food options (and if the shop has a non-airport location, the prices can’t be higher at the airport). O’Hare regularly had pans laid out to catch water leaking through the roof, dingy stores and kiosks. (But I’ll give O’Hare a point for the nifty neon.)
I haven’t flown out of O’Hare for a few years now, so I’ll trust Rich that it’s improving. But man, what a long way to go…
