I am saddened by the news of a State of Illinois employee being killed on the job at the IDOT facility near Yorkville. He and his family are in thoughts and prayers today.

The annual pesky yellowjacket season has opened in 60827. Fortunately my encounters are brief for now. And why are the Bears still allegedly fighting with the County over tax assessments per a local sports radio station; I thought that was solved already?

Had a nice lake cruise with old pals yesterday. Lots of fun but I forgot about the amplification of sunburn risk from being on the water. Ouch.
