Some welcome rain last night, though as expected, it happened the same day that I saw some farmers getting into the fields to start the harvest. Oh well, what’s a day or two delay when you can start before mid-September?

Wonder which turnaround will hit bottom worse…Cardinals or White Sox…both turnarounds look like they need more outside people brought in. When the Cubs hired away Cardinals pitching scouts they got a good scout and are now doing what the Cardinals used to do I. Finding and developing pitchers.

Today’s definition of misery: Not one, but two White Sox games today.
The good news is they can still reach the goal of losing 100 games, making this season historically awful instead of just ordinarily awful.

Goldenrod is blooming and bees are buzzing in from surrounding hives for the harvest.

In our area of the 217 numerous corn fields have already been combined. Really wide range in beans fields, some are totally yellow others still green.

Got a sample look at the book “A House that made History” by our First Lady M.K Pritzker on Amazon. It was stunning. The photos and Contents section hooked me into thinking I will really enjoy the book and plan on ordering the book that Amazon says will be released on 9/19.
Big Thank You to our First Lady for taking on this project and doing such a awesome job on writing and providing such incredible photographs of the building, the garden area and the people involved in the history of the mansion.

Goldenrod has an anti-allergenic effect… when it’s leaves are made into tea or honey.

LOVE that bit about Goldenrod, dotnonymous x. any kind? I’m mostly seeing Canadian Goldenrod and it is prolific this year.

Mary Miller and her X are bad enough but now the Bose Bailey competition of who is more for impeaching the president is in high gear. GOP is embarrassing.
