Peoria continues to haphazardly bandage its completely failed roads. A little smoother this year, for sure, but the surface on some major streets is more patch than original. We’ll see how those joints fare the winter.

SoS Giannoulias’ Senate testimony in yesterday’s blog was “political.” C-SPAN’s video (1:46:49 at https://www.c-span.org/video/?530370-1/illinois-secretary-state-testifies-anti-book-ban-law ), Louisiana’s distinguished gentleman came across as an older, sober version of Joseph McCarthy, and Giannoulias’ testimony came across much better. Watch Durbin’s reactions to the Louisiana gentleman’s off mike comments when the hearing closed.
