At least one of the schools supporting the IKA act said the quiet part out loud.
“Quigley said he thinks the expiration of the Invest In Kids Act could cause the closure of Catholic schools in Joliet”
Of course, there was already a process in place to identify which schools to close in the Joliet Diocese, long before the IKA expired. Might as well blame it on the IKA now, and not the decisions of the church.
One of these days, maybe the church will figure out that good ol’ Catholic guilt only works on people still in the organization. There are fewer and fewer of those people every year.

It’s a clear sunny day here in beautiful DuPage County. Supposed to get to around 60 degrees this afternoon. In a few weeks we will be dreaming of days like this.
