A surprisingly not foggy day in Bloomington-Normal for a change. Darn nice change of pace.
That being said, unexpectedly gloomy looking out.
Yay for Illinois Januaries.

Rain, Rain, Rain. Also, people being reckless with roads and weight limits. A lot of tax dollars being wasted with carelessness.

Finally getting the siding replaced on the house from those big storms back in June/July. This is how far behind most siding & roofing companies in my area are.

Is it a police officer’s job to harass people or solve crimes? Having driven thousands of miles on interstates, truly don’t understand the need for highway patrol. They sit on interstates, profile people, look for any excuse to pull them over, so they can look for drugs. Tale as old as time.

@og, I’m with you. In fact, I don’t understand the need for IRS agents. I mean, I’ve never cheated on my taxes and I don’t know anyone who has. Why do we have to pay billions to bureaucrats looking for any excuse to get us in trouble? And now that I think of it, why do we have the EPA? Lake Michigan is so much cleaner now than it was when I was a kid. Seems like waste of money to harass companies who are trying their best not to pollute. And another thing, why does the NFL bother having those nettlesome referees? I’m sure if you let them, the players could enforce the rules on their own.

Illinois State Board of Elections overrules objection to the nomination papers of Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump. 8-0 vote. Electoral Board cited its lack of jurisdiction to rule on constitutional disqualification.
Off to the courts for judicial review.

I learned last night that I can no longer order rolling papers (cones) from Amazon as an Illinois resident (unless I have them shipped to my Missouri address.)

One of our local churches allowed a couple of members to open up DeKalb’s first overnight warming center in a decade. They could use a couple more volunteers, but donations of all sorts have poured in. My favorite part is different local musicians stop by a couple evenings a week to play during supper.

The War on Drugs was a tactic mis-used to make everyone a potential “suspect”…anyone the police liked…or didn’t like.
