  1. I thought Mick Mars wasn’t touring with the band anymore because of health reasons and now there are lawsuits. I would like to see them all play together.

  2. I for one can’t wait to shout at the devil

  3. I still don’t understand why you pay for entry with a $100 ticket. This is something we tried to change and I thought Rebecca was on board with that idea too.

  4. This really kickstarted my heart this morning.

  5. “…and Mick Mars is on guitars.” I think I am correct, that is not Mick Mars in the photo, its John 5, the person they got to replace Mick.

  6. Mars is 72 years old and reportedly not in good health.

John 5, former guitarist for Rob Zombie, joined the band last year and is pictured in the article.

I saw them live in 1987, it was a great show.

    Gosh we have gotten old.

  7. +++I thought Mick Mars+++

And here I thought Mick Mars has had health issues since the 1980s. But if he is still able to tour, then good for him after so many years.

Sidenote, buyer beware for $100+ tickets with Vince Neil’s vocals. Watch some TikTok videos of recent conference performances and it is hilarious to read the subtitles for the words people think he’s singing. I saw them in 1989 on the Dr. Feelgood tour in St. Louis. They were incredible. Spandex and big hair was everywhere. 1980s rock concerts were something else.

  8. 100 smackers for the State Fair grand stands…sounds fair. And if you have more $$$ to toss out you get some warm beer at the pre game tail gate.

  9. The increased ticket prices have priced me out of going to the grandstand except for the one day in the week it’s a freebie. I know tix are even higher for many venues these days, but I just can’t go for a show that’s over fifty bucks for the cheapest seats.

  10. For this tour, Vince Neil has bowed to step up and sing every 3rd word. These days, he usually does every 5th or 6th.

  11. Buyer beware this gig will give you a couple two tree nostalgia feels but you’ll need a shower afterwards to wash off the money grab guilt of paying for it

  12. tbh, I’m impressed with the number of commenters who keep tabs on Mick Mars’ health status.

  13. I can’t help thinking that going to this show would just make me feel very old and a little sad.

These days, they’re probably shouting at the devil because their hearing aids aren’t working, and they just shout at everyone.

  14. I mean, they don’t look horrible. From about 4 months ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slmXuzo5L6c

  15. Duck duck; I felt the same about the annual state fair beach boys appearances towards the end.

  16. It’s really no different than GNR playing Wrigley Field last summer. Axle is way off but Slash was fantastic. More expensive than $88.

The fact Vince and Tommy Lee are still alive is staggering. Can’t even imagine the stories they all have of being on the road and what they did to their bodies.

  17. - Can’t even imagine the stories they all have of being on the road and what they did to their bodies. -

I’m guessing their bodies are filled with regret…while their memories remain sublime.

  18. They show partner with a classic car club and do a Cruise with the Crue.

Comment by City Zen Tuesday, Feb 27, 24 @ 3:12 pm

  19. Someone (WAND) read a quick Wiki page without double-checking. Mick Mars can’t tour due to health reasons, so it is John 5 on guitar for them.

I hate that they set this for Aug 10, though, because there are a few other shows on my calendar I have to choose from on that day.

  20. So. just how many “final” tours these guys gonna do?
I saw them in 2014 (I think) and it was the final tour then?

Comment by Bruce( no not him) Tuesday, Feb 27, 24 @ 3:51 pm

  21. ===just how many “final” tours these guys gonna do?===

    lol

They’ll stop when people stop showing up.

Comment by Rich Miller Tuesday, Feb 27, 24 @ 3:59 pm

  22. Yep Rich(bp) The Who did 5 more tours (by my count) after the tour called Who’s Last.
