The Republicans of Madison County take another step toward crazy-town as they propose a non-binding ballot initiative for the separation of our area from the rest of Illinois. How embarrassing.
Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubt.

Illinois’ Congresswoman Mary Miller co-sponsored the just-introduced House Joint Resolution 116, to formally object to the Biden administration proposed rule to redefine 1099 independent contractors under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The joint resolution under the Congressional Review Act allows Congress to formally object to an executive branch agency.
Miller is the vice chair of the House Education and the Workforce Committee. Thus far, she’s the only Illinois Congressional delegation member to cosponsor the objection.

Judicial Watch issued a press release that Illinois is being sued for failing to clean up its voter registration records.
I am puzzled by this because I thought that there was a settlement agreement already in place to do this.

Someone should tell madison county how much money they stand to lose if they “separate” from the rest of the State. The republican’ts are a few slices of bread short of a sandwich.
