Social Security Fairness Act
I know this is a federal matter - but it will potentially impact thousands of IL residents who have worked in public sector jobs…
“Tuesday, April 16, 2024. In March 2024, Graves and Representative Abigail Spanberger (Virginia) called on the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee to hold a markup on their bipartisan bill, H.R. 82 – the Social Security Fairness Act”

Glad Durbin’s Judiciary committee finally pulled the trigger on issuing a subpoena to Leonard Leo about SCOTUS corruption.
I am skeptical though that there is time after all this dithering to actually hold Leo to account when he blows off his Senate subpoena

YES, the time is long overdue to end the unjust penalty of WEP/GPO that takes money from the social security of retired police, firefighters, teachers, and many other public employees. We should make sure our reps and senators know about this.
