    That’s what it looks like there’s a position from police and some municipalities, because they may see a reduction in revenue if more medical patients go to that dispensary paying 1% tax instead of 30% depending on the item.

  5. Despite firefighter opposition to fireworks and other people’s opposition. I hope the ground-based sparkler provision stays in the revenue bill. Because around major holidays Illinois loses a fair amount of money with people crossing state lines to get fireworks. I remember State Senator Dave Syverson advocating last year for the ground-based sparkler provision, stating that maybe this will prevent some people crossing state lines to get the bigger aerial stuff, that it might satiate their appetite for fireworks and mitigate some risk.
