  1. For 7 innings the White Sox where pitching a shut out. Up 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 8th and the White Sox end up losing 8-4 in regulation on a walk-off grand slam. Ooooooooffff.

  2. Fedde was really solid last night. If he and Crochet can keep it together and if LuRob stays healthy, they might shock the world and end the season with 55-60 wins!

    Also I’ve spent a lot of hours on the lakefront trail this past week and have yet to notice a cicada. Lots of swarms of gnats, though.

  3. In my part of Illinois, a crazy professor is celebrating a third 2024 t-shirt from his alma mater. This one is for the Men’s College World Series. The previous two were a Women’s and a Men’s Final Four shirt.

    It is said the professor enjoys red.

  4. Sox are in poor shape. Going to be a long time before they contend. Crochet is now the Ace of the staff. Last year he was no better than 7th or 8th on the Sox pitching depth chart.

  5. oh sure if Crochet and LuRob…. they are talking of trading them It’s so deflating There is no bullpen They are reportedly trying to trade Kopech…lol But someone astutely put on X last night that they would trade him and another team would fix him and it would come back to haunt. think we are back to is the problem the pitching coach

  7. Just learned that IL HB 4431 eliminating the driving test requirement for IL seniors has been referred back to the rules committee. This bill has over 40 co-sponsors and wide bipartisan support. Hopefully, it hasn’t gone there to die. Would rather see the driving test requirement based on a person’s driving record - not their age.

  8. ===Hopefully, it hasn’t gone there to die===

    It was sent back to Rules Committe in April because it wasn’t approved before the deadline. Very little chance it’ll clear both chambers by January.
