Had the annual family reunion, saw a lot of distant cousins I don’t get to see that often, had some good food, won (and lost) some card games, had a good time.

Spent the weekend in Peoria and I believe I found the spot where Richard Pryor grew up. It’s an underpass now.

Finally got my San Marzano tomatoes in after purchasing them nearly two months ago. Bless their hearts. They were so ready to come out of those little packs.

Spent the weekend at Moccasin Creek Fest in Effingham. Saw Shinyribs for the first time and decided to quit my job and follow the band around the country. Then remembered my mortgage and reported to work today.

Picked my pup up from the doggy hospital. Met up with my normal vet and got a continuous glucose sensor put on him. Have now administered a few shots to him (each of his parents have).

So far so good. We’re learning.

Went to the Billy Joel/Stevie Nicks concert at Soldier Field on Friday, and hosted company from out of town over the weekend. It was a fun, but very busy, weekend! Tired today.

Violent Femmes accompanied by Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Ravinia

Played first album in it’s entirety. Still sound great 40 years later and even better with CSO

Hope Oscar’s masters brought plenty of sun screen
Billy Joel sounded a great event
We did the tradition family reunion picnic in SPI. Nice day as family ages some members pass, but young families grow. Very nice time.

Went to Ravinia and saw Los Lobo and Little Feet. It was a great show except for the rain as we walked back to the Metra.
