1. I doubt I agree with Richard Porter on many issues but I was proud that it was someone from Illinois who called out Matt Gaetz for acting like a grass bowl when he was being a weird bully on the RNC floor

2. I had a terrific hourlong meeting yesterday with a state representative. When it seems like the country has gone mad, it’s beyond refreshing to have an open and positive conversation with an elected official.

3. It seems like waiting until after the conventions to announce that you are moving a statue of George Washington would have been a better move.

4. OneMan,
   I think news had already leaked. I find it odd that most of the people complaining have never seen the statue in question in its usual location. I certainly never have. It’s not like it’s the Picasso or anything. It’s not even Snoopy in a Blender.
