3. Last year in September and October when it got fairly warm it was rubbed a “fake summer”. Do we call this part of August “fake fall” ?

4. Springfield is losing its mind and it’s becoming a national story over the closure of “all” the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants. I wager one or more of the franchise stores will come back but really there’s a lot of better places in town for fried chicken, from County Market to the old neighborhood places and spots like the VFW and KC Hall. It might be revelatory for some people to go back and rediscover those joints.
