It might be dry but the timing is perfect for the IL corn crop which is in overall great conditions -let it dry in the field until 15 perfect moisture content -

“during periods of drought applying 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water every 2 to 4 weeks should be enough to maintain moisture in the crown and roots. ” Illinois Extension
