Some chilly mornings here in beautiful DuPage County, but overall lovely fall days this week. Will be seeing the grandkids in a few days, so life is good people….

During football watching yesterday I saw a new Desi Anderson commercial attacking Sharon Chung that was eyecatching in using a Monopoly board. Seemed like an effective ad. Just makes the baseless colorism attack her campaign put out last week more baffling.

Also sort of football related… there was a scary scene over the weekend at a jr. high kids football game in Normal with a Springfield team. Shots were apparently fired over some dispute related to the little league football game. What is wrong with people today?

The new Sun-Times “feature” where I have to watch the EXACT SAME 30 second ad before reading an article (despite paying for a subscription) is insane and is going to lead to me cancelling my subscription

Spent 2024’s last perfect Sunday afternoon in Berwyn enjoying Fitzgerald’s Honkytonktoberfest.

Everyone was great, but the fellas in Los Gallos stole the show.
