1. Thinking about the warmth lately, I would love to see a county level map indicating the last year each county had a year without snow, the last time there was less than 6 inches of snow, etc.. I wonder how far north those line would stretch, if they exist at all. As for me, I am ready for cool, crisp weather, and hoping the deep winter gets here soon enough to kill of the bugs in West Central IL.

2. Rain in the forecast. Many will freak out because there has been none for weeks. Has to be one of the driest harvest ever. Then we’ll see new record crop, lower prices for farmers and lots of hand wringers.

3. Kankakee County Board Chairman Andy Wheeler resigned this morning. The local GOP is saying the county was going to fire him this morning if he had not resigned.
