* Chicagoans will boo anybody…
The mayor isn’t the only one who gets booed at concerts.
Governor Pritzker just came out at Will Ferrell’s house party and got booed hard. pic.twitter.com/LgAsoovLcq— Leigh Giangreco (@LeighGiangreco) October 27, 2024
* Aftermath…
Hilarious.

Boo, Cancer!

Honestly, no one wants a politician at a party.

I’m glad he didn’t go to an Eagles game. One year, they pelted Santa Claus with snowballs at the game.

It’s that anti-multi-billianaire crowd. He should have had Ferrell point out that JB isn’t like Musk or Bezos.

I mean…. yeah? If I’m at a concert, a sporting event, or a comedy show, and some politician shows up, I’m booing. Let me enjoy my distraction.
Grant, I’ll boo those I hate more, and I quite like Pritzker. But still, get off the stage!

No Super Majority at the Wintrust Arena

Touting his 52 percent approval rating was… odd.

Only time I’ve seen a politician not get booed was at the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis when George W. Bush got a standing ovation when introduced (as opposed to Obama, who nearly got booed out of the stadium).

Cmon, his approval rating comment was tongue in cheek. I felt he was acknowledging the boos and rolling with it. He’s not bad at this actually.

===Touting his 52 percent approval rating was… odd.===
It’s hard to tell if the audience was just tired of how long he’d been speaking or if it was specifically referencing an approval rating that caused the crowd to turn. I wonder if our state will ever have a politician that Chicagoans would consider to be beloved.
I am surprised there was no announcement of a private contribution.

JB sure is a good sport. Anybody else reflexively spit on the ground when Ferrell mentioned Blago?
Comment by Mamacita Monday, Oct 28, 24 @ 2:21 pm
One more. If it was Blago, he would have basked in like Ric Flair walking down the aisle to defend his title. (if you never watched pro wrestling, you won’t get the reference).

Much like Ricky Steamboat, JB doesn’t have it in him to play the heel.

When an entertainer, sports figure or comedian shows up at a political event, I boo them, too.
Comment by Colors of Fall Monday, Oct 28, 24 @ 2:55 pm
Meh, not his crowd.
