  1. Many, many signs, especially because the candidates for the Chicago Board of Education have been added to the ballot.

  2. There’s a local ballot measure to allow video gambling. The “vote no” signs are plentiful throughout neighborhoods, next to signs of all stripes. I’ve only seen the “vote yes” signs outside early voting sites and selected bars and restaurants.

I know signs don’t vote, but.

  3. It’s all about the school board election by me. Looks like the battle is between Adam Parrott-Sheffer and Karin Norington-Reaves, with the occasional Robert Jones sign. I haven’t seen any Rhymefest signs.

  4. In the Division to North Avenue area east of Clark Street, a few signs for Cook County candidates but none for presidential candidates.

  5. My neck of the woods is so gerrymandered there are almost no signs. A couple random Trump and Harris signs here and there.

Comment by Red Ranger Monday, Oct 28, 24 @ 3:37 pm

  6. Jackson County has a Chris Maynor for Circuit Clerk Sign seemingly every 10 feet.

  7. Very few Trump signs in my part of DuPage… much less than in years past. Local races don’t seem terribly competitive, at least where I am.

  8. Travelled from Chicago to Milwaukee to campaign for Harris and was surprised at the lack of Trump signs anywhere along the road or in town. There’s plenty of red between those blue cities yet I don’t see anything. I think that’s interesting.

  9. In my little area of DuPage we are seeing a lot more Stava-Murray signs than last cycle. Those party staffers are earning their pay. Harris signs everywhere and not one Trump sign.

  10. Seeing many more Harris signs in my Dem leaning piece of Illinois than I saw Biden signs in 2020 or Clinton signs in ‘16. Not sure if that means anything.

Comment by TD Monday, Oct 28, 24 @ 4:01 pm

  11. Seen some cringe-worthy signs - there’s a homemeade “BETA MEN VOTE BLUE” sign.

Have not seen a single sign for Joshua Loyd.

  12. I feel like I see a lot more Harris-Walz signs than I did Biden-Harris or Hillary signs in Bloomington-Normal. For Republicans I see way more county board and state rep signs than Trump ones.

It used to be that the Republicans had certain high traffic intersections all to themselves for yard signs in past election cycles but I’ve started noticing Dem signs popping up in them this time too. They don’t always stay there long though.

The most interesting thing to me is all the vote yes to eliminate the county auditor signs you see next to both Republican and Dem signs.

  13. Not around me but I spend a good deal of time driving through the rural areas of Illinois and Indiana. My favorite are the signs being re-used from either 2016 or 2020 that have “Pence” cut out from the bottom.

  14. Restrained. I like the ones that say, “Presidents come and go, but Wu-Tang is forever.” Heh.
