  1. Crazy how the one national swing district in Illinois had a larger margin than Casten in IL06. Is this a sign that Casten is in trouble in a few cycles?

  2. Still trying to wrap my head around the McLean County results.

The Dems flipped the McLean County Board in their favor in a year where a red shift happened nationwide and the Dems ran zero candidates at all for any of the countywide offices up for election.

Also the resolution to vote yes to eliminate the county auditor’s office failed even though it got on the ballot through a unanimous bipartisan county board vote, there were vote yes signs next to Trump and Harris signs throughout the county, there was no active vote no campaign, the current county auditor did nothing to campaign for election or against the referendum, and the current county auditor doesn’t speak to the press at all even when it runs stories critical about her work as auditor. I just don’t get it.

  3. So many share terrific sites here; historian Heather Cox Richardson’s Letters from an American is always worth a read.

  4. Sun shining, birds singing, temps in 50’s, and already met a signature gatherer for the 2025 Thornton Township Supervisor’s election.
