  1. So, those Bears. Eh?

  2. White Sox are historically awful, Bulls let another team score over 140 points on them in regulation, the Blackhawks are stuck in an eternal rebuild where even a quasi-generational talent is struggling, and the Bears choked so hard that I wish they were on CHSN so nobody had to watch.

Everyone else is in town are somehow making the Cubs look competent by comparison despite them being underachieving losers. But hey, at least they have a stinking channel up for people to watch on providers that people actually have. As opposed to the Reinsdorf/Wirtz brain trust offering a streaming platform that’s literally more expensive than just paying for ESPN+ and a VPN subscription.

At least the Illini are looking like they’ll get into a decent bowl game.

  4. Metra Milwaukee North trains at a standstill in north and central Lake County after a pedestrian accident in Lake Forest. Fortunate I don’t have to go in today. Hoping the best for the injured person, and for the locomotive engineer.

  5. Eleven straight losses to the Green Bay Packers.

Think about it. Trump was the 45th President and Rauner was the Illinois Governor when the Chicago Bears last defeated Green Bay. Chicago won 24-17 on December 16, 2018.

The Halas/McCaskey regime continues to run the Chicago Bears like an independently owned, “mom and pop” corner retail grocery store.

Nothing is going to change until the team has new ownership.

  6. Anyone surprised to see the kick blocked? If so, why?

  7. I sometimes wonder if Chicago sports exists to counterbalance all the other things about Chicago that are wonderful.

And as a lover of the Chicago music scene, I’d like to thank Chicago sports fans for their sacrifice.
