  1. I’m a relatively right-leaning Dem when it comes to crime, but this bill seems to want to cower the members of the parole board to never issue a parole to anyone under 70.

  7. It remains entirely undemocratic and against the spirit of the American system to refuse to call a bill for a vote unless you can be sure it has 60 votes from one party.

    The Speaker just allowed his own governor to get played by a mayor with single digit approval numbers.

    Skilled lawmakers don’t need a supermajority to govern
