All it took was 1 meeting with JD Vance for Pope Francis to say “Lord, please get me out of here.”

The flowering trees provide hope that spring has arrived and summer is coming.

The photo of the seagull flying with a hot dog at Wrigley should be the new state flag.

Nice to have you back. I hope you and Rich had a good week off.
On Friday, I joined many others for a cherry blossom viewing by the Museum of Science and Industry. After two years with no blossoms, it was nice to have them back.

Mr. Cheese, your attempt at humor suffers from both poor taste and bad timing.

Got to spend Easter with the grandkids, which is as much fun as I’m allowed to have these days. Life is good.

Not going to lie, my second reaction to learning about Francis’s death was “wow, Vance pulled a Liz Truss.”
RIP to the Pope, though. Best in my lifetime, albeit granted I’ve only been alive for three popes.

@JoanP–we had planned to see the cherry blossoms on Easter Sunday but cancelled because of the rain. So nice that they bloomed this year.
