* People…
Carlos Santana was rushed to the hospital ahead of his San Antonio show.
In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, a representative for Santana, 77, confirmed that the guitarist will postpone the show at the Majestic Theater scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, April 22.
Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management and a representative for Santana, said, “It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed. Mr. Santana was at the venue (Majestic Theatre) preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action.”
He continued, “He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour. Thank you all very much for your understanding. The show will be rescheduled soon.”
What’s up by you?

RIP Mongo. He was a character on a team full of characters, and on one of the greatest defenses in NFL history.

Feeling envious of the pedestrian only Lincoln Square experiment. It looks fantastic but it will never, ever happen on the divested south side.

Can’t remember a day when Democrat politics was hit with two huge issues on the same day, between the senior US Senator announcing his retirement to a senior member of the US House signaling retirement, it was an eventful day on the rail to say the lease.
The Durbin news broke just a the House Executive Committee was starting. Suddenly, phones were blowing up with the news spreading like wildfire.

Looks to be a terrific day here in beautiful DuPage County, sunny with a high temp of 74. Will have to get the lawnmower going in the next day or so.

Nice day here in northern Cook too. Looking to get some more native plants put in after work for a pollinator garden. (In the spirit of the Jacksonville rabbi, it’s my bit of Tikkun Olam. I may not be able to save the planet, but I can help save some native bees.)

Setting aside the question of where else this could happen, I’m wondering if people actually don’t know that Lincoln Square was pedestrian only in the past? Have they evaluated what didn’t work then to make sure it’s a success now?

Dunno, but tastes do change over the decades. People used to hate those pedestrian malls. Now, many love them.

Good point about tastes changing, Rich. And as I thought about the timeline later, I realized it was a pretty long time ago (and then I realized how old I must be getting…sigh).
