  1. An Illinois-center comment about “Take Me to the River”: Did anyone here attend the Walgreens concert at Ravinia on Saturday?

  4. Good to get a bit of a break from the 90s today. It’s only supposed to reach 85. Got good test results from the doctor yesterday, so that’s a good thing. Apparently my problem is just that I’m old.

Also- was fortunate to see the four-piece version of Talking Heads back in the day. Great live show. Maybe at the Aragon? Fuzzy memory syndrome strikes again.

  5. As a retired state employee who used Health Alliance for decades, tomorrow is when Aetna kicks in, and I hope the transition will be seamless and easy, but I fear it will not be. At least one of my providers is worried, because there are several plans under Aetna and not all of them cover all providers that Healthalliance did. And we won’t really know how this works until the first new bill goes out. That can be kind of stressful when you’re counting on a specific caregiver.

  6. I hate that taxpayers are subsidizing it, hate the inconvenience of the closures, don’t think it’s an economic benefit overall… but I suppose I will be watching the Chicago NASCAR race on TV anyway. Here’s hoping it’s the last.
