My compliments to the cartoonist for a job well done, which is more than anyone can truthfully say about Gov. Sleazy!

All in all I think this is going to be another “up” day!

Perhaps the best work of art since the Sistine Chapel.

I really hope that’s what’s happening. Although I think depicting the feds as crocodiles or alligators is a bit harsh. I prefer to think of it in terms of Blago finally being left on the curb in front of a cop with stolen goods in his pockets — sort of a catch ‘em red handed kind of thing.

How dastardly! Oh, how fiendish! Rob… uhm, Rezko .. under the spell of the Evil Joke… uhm… Fitzgerald? Will ObamaMan win the election and replace Patrick Fitzgerald in time to save Commissioner Gord… uhm, Governor Blagovevich? If he can’t, will his faithful sidekick also expose ObamaMan’s secret identity to the evil Fitzgerald?
Can this be the end of the Titanic Trio? Stay tuned, same Rich time, same Rich channel!

No one tied Rod up and put him at risk. He quite methodically and arrogantly put himself and his family in the position he is today. He didn’t have to operate the way he did. He has no one to blame but himself.

This is from the Arabic press? It sure looks it.
Comment by Bill Baar Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 8:51 am
I don’t get it.
Comment by Bill Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 8:53 am
To expound on Wordslinger’s post, I’ve often thought about the defense Blagojevich would mount in the event he is convicted. Perhaps a future QOTD?
Comment by The Doc Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 8:53 am
Hilarious! Look how thin the rope is where rezko is about to cut!!!! all it takes it just that one little smoking gun…..
Comment by anon Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 8:53 am
That is, his explanation of his actions in the event he is convicted.
Comment by The Doc Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 8:55 am
ohh yeah and he should have made one of the alligators be the speaker… or the alligators could have been all the democratic candidates for governor in 2010…

LOL! Bill, you are always a ray of sunshine!

What if Rezko’s *not* talking? I mean, the froth’s been whipped up. But what if it’s just business as usual? And what if Rezko doesn’t have anything else much to say?
When does Blagojevich trek out to the steel mill and launch his re-election campaign?
Comment by Macbeth Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:00 am
Bill, what you see is the comic, a cartoon, a joke, a funny ha-ha…somthing not real. Don’t worry, nothing you are viewing is being depicted as reality. Your world is warm is safe.
Love the mohawk hair-do! Mr. T’s bro…
Comment by BandCamp Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:00 am
This bank thing that Rezko is reported to be talking to the feds about has me very curious. Couldn’t be our current treasurer’s bank could it? Man, that would be bad for lots of folks.
Comment by Leave a light on George Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:00 am
Couldn’t Rezko be talking about a lot of things not-Blago. He had his fingers in a lot of pies.
And they have to have corroboration presumably.
I think we need a new governor, preferably a squeaky clean new, young Republican governor who
can provide some balance against overwhelming Demcratic power and corruption in Illinois.
But I’m still not sure an indictment is happening.
Illinoisians may have to do some real political work to usher our Blago on to a lucrative post-political-office future instead of staying as governor-for-life. He clearly prefers the latter.
Comment by Cassandra Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:10 am
Can’t we spring for gators with frickin’ laser beams? Are they at least ill-tempered?
Comment by Dr. Jon Osterman Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:12 am
Cassandra, the feds don’t make this kind of investment without the expectation of a significant return.
It’s nothing personal, it’s business.
Comment by wordslinger Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:14 am
The cartoon has it wrong.
Rezko is not the bad guy in this picture.
And Blagojevich has never been a helpless victim.
Comment by VanillaMan Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:21 am
If Blago isn’t feeling the gators or crocs he just ain’t smart is he? lol
Comment by Levois Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:22 am
Oh, say it IS so, Patrick…
Comment by anon Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:23 am
I would rather feed him to the wolves, but that is just me.
Comment by Shelbyville Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:25 am
Rezko looks like the roving tailor in Stuwwelpeter, but that drab lumpy tutu of a skirt makes his hips look big.
Comment by Zora Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:29 am
All I want for Christmas is an in dict ment. Sing Rezko, sing!
Comment by Say WHAT? Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 9:30 am
Aaaahhh the hair is all wrong. Plus every pic I have seen of the gov he doesn’t have an upper lip. Or is that a mustache?
Comment by 618er Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 10:03 am
It looks like some World War II propaganda art, but I like the message!
Comment by Vote Quimby! Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 10:23 am
It looks like some World War II propaganda art…
Because it’s from the Arab press. Which makes you wonder how much more folks in the Middle East know about our politics than we do, and what dirt they might have on folks in Illinois…and how they’ll use it besides publishing cartoons…
….and I suppose someone will say I need a tinfoil cap… but….
Comment by Bill Baar Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 10:25 am
Actually, if you look behind the Rezko mask you’ll see most of the citizens of Illinois…..maybe even Madigan!
Comment by Justice Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 10:47 am
PETA would be alarmed at the mere thought of something as unpalatble as Governor Dudley Do-Right being fed to the ‘gators. It’s just mean and tortious to even think that the alligators could ingest something like that.
Comment by DzNts Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 11:13 am
Don’t anyone believe for one minute that Rezko is the only one that has been quacking like a duck. There has been too many people of question that has left Blagos administration. When the Feds fell they have enough to remove all doubt, they will indict.
Comment by WAR DOG Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 12:27 pm
We see one gator represents the Feds. Who do the other alligators represent?
Comment by ChicagoDem Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 12:31 pm
Who do the other alligators represent?
….friends, family, other Democrats.
Comment by Bill Baar Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 12:59 pm
…school districts like Rochester… state facilities like Lincoln Development Center and Pontiac Prison… pharmacists holding the bag on worthless vouchers… Lou Pinella?
Comment by DzNts Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 1:31 pm
==Who do the other alligators represent?==
Dan Hynes, Lisa Madigan, Alexi Giannoulis, the ghost of Paul Simon…
Comment by Vote Quimby! Wednesday, Oct 15, 08 @ 2:14 pm
I would have thought that one of the alligators in the pond was labeled “Madigan”?
Comment by Beowulf Thursday, Oct 16, 08 @ 8:04 am
Alligator teeth are designed for crushing and for a strong grip on prey. They are not sharp teeth like a bobcat or a wolf have for tearing meat. Its obvious Rod’s head is very hard and will survive. lol
