Which victorious candidate in this week’s municipal election is most likely to move up the political ladder? Why?
UPDATE: All posts about Peggy Fuller and/or her “enemies” will be deleted from now on. Since they can’t play nice, they can’t play. Apologies to those her minions attacked.

I think Tony Peraica is the big winner, with his victories for his canidates in Cicero and Berwyn!

Watch Juan Figueroa, who was re-elected to the Elgin City Council, and Fred Crespo, elected to the Hoffman Estates Village Board.

Tom Weisner is the guy to watch. He forged a coalition of democrats and republicans to beat back Denny Hastert and Tom Cross in their own back yard. Plus he didn’t go negative in response to Irvin’s outrageous and false negative attacks. Real class act and a super smart guy, with a great story to tell. Watch for him to run for congress when Hastert retires.

Let’s keep an eye on Morrissey in Rockford. If he can help get Rockford on track to better days, he could climb higher up the political ladder.
Also, in a much smaller but rapidly growing community, watch Jeff Magnussen, a Hampshire businessman who defeated a village trustee to win the office of village president. He could be another “newcomer” with a bright political future.
