I know it’s not really a happy Christmas song, but I love Elvis’s version of Blue Christmas.

I put my request in yesterday, and it stands. I like all of the traditional Christmas/holiday tunes, it’s the soundtrack of the season.
One major exception though, and Rich, I beg you to resist the urge: Bob Dylan’s Little Drummer Boy. It sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks on qualludes. As Jose would say, “no es bueno.”

Call me old fashioned, but I am still a fan of the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack. If I had to pick one track, I’d say “Christmas Time is Here.”
Btw, my name is Barton. I am in the process of moving to Springfield for the next six months to intern at Capitol Fax. I look forward to meeting everyone after the holidays.

White Christmas by Irving Berlin. The 1st song I learned on my trumpet in 4th grade. One of my all time favorite holiday movies as well.

Love the Charlie Brown soundtrack. And the “Razzleberry Dressing” song from the Magoo Christmas Carol. And Burl Ives singing “Silver and Gold” from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Ya know, maybe Mother was right when she said I watched too much tv….

Trying not to choose some of my favorites that have already been taken I will vote for “White Christmas” by the Drifters, and “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms from the first Lethal Weapon.

It might be too scary for the anti-Thomson fraidy cats but Jimi Hendrix silent night smokes.

O Holy Night, followed by Angels We Have Heard on High and Mary, Did You Know.

Best ever is either “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole or his version of “O Holy Night.”
Worst ever is “Last Xmas” by anybody.

I like most all the traditional songs depending on the occasion, but Adeste Fideles is very moving. On the flip side, Feliz Navidad may be the worst (sorry).

Another vote for Nat King Cole. Every time I hear the Christmas song, I have a Proustian rush of memories of Decembers past, and all the loved ones who have gone home.
