  1. Too bad Republicans couldn’t produce a real plan and instead chose to hide behind the need to wait for a “forensic audit.” Maybe one of those R guys would have been doing the first dance last night.

Voters chose bad leadership over no leadership. Not unreasonable.

  2. Choosing absolutely failed leadership over change of any kind IS unreasonable.

Sen. Dillard: If you want to reserve the death penalty for only the most heinous murderers, who do you think is being sentenced to death currently?! Jaywalkers?

  3. Points to Brady and Dillard for gracious and civil tones.

But like the man from Liverpool said:

“You say you got a real solution
    Well, you know
We’d all love to see the plan”

  4. What happened to the Lisa dance video?

  5. Did anyone else catch Dillard slip and say ‘Governor Spin’ at the 1.30 mark? At least provided me with a chuckle.

  6. Go Lisa! She sure didn’t get those moves from Mike.

  8. Yeah, Lisa’s dancing is interesting, but I was more impressed with Jesse White. I hope I can move like that when I’m his age.

Comment by Ghost of John Brown Tuesday, Jan 11, 11 @ 12:20 pm

  9. Lisa’s dance reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine sees a video of herself dancing and is mortified.

Comment by Meanderthal Tuesday, Jan 11, 11 @ 12:27 pm

  10. Meanderthal, that episode would be The Little Kicks and at first, Elaine doesn’t think she is a bad dancer.

  11. Meandrethal,

You beat me to it. Lisa Madigan reminded me of Elaine on the “Seinfeld” program.

    Ghost of John Brown,

I thought Jesse White was moving pretty well for a man approaching eighty.

In terms of the music, was Pat Quinn “Keeping the Seventies Alive” to remind us of a time when he was seen as an up and coming politician? “Saturday Night Fever” tunes in 2010?

  14. Honest Abe - that was basically what I was saying - Giving Mr. White some accolades.
