  8. Political fashion observers will note the cheery contrast of Rep. Cross, yellow shirt and bold patterned red tie to the rather drab and barely contrasting beige shirt and tie of the Governor. Finally, as if they cannot help themselves, Rep. Cross’ knot points decidedly to the right and the Governor’s knot points to the left and the direction of his fortunes.

Comment by Tommydanger Friday, Jul 15, 11 @ 9:30 am

  9. Yet again progress in the state was hampered dude to the gulf between those who feel there should be contrast between your shirt and tie and those who feel they should blend together.

  15. I am here at the fine University, the finest in Aurora, which is known as the city of lights, because of it’s early adoption of electric street lights not because of Wayne and Garth. It’s on a river, a river that flows south, sometimes a mighty river, sometimes not, it may the the second largest city in the state, but is it truly mighty, like Galesberg, Springfield and dare I say Rockford. It’s next to Naperville, which is on a smaller, less mighty river, but has mighty people, yuppies, who work hard, drive imports, good people who live in DuPage and Will Counties, not Kendall county, which is also mighty and might I add a county.

  17. Did I mention Aurora has trains that go to Chicago and back again. It doesn’t have Amtrak service but we are going to fix that with a new high speed rail link between Aurora and Naperville and Downers Grove, a mighty rail link that will move businessmen, computer guys, accountants, secritaries between their J-O-B-S and homes. The trails will have internet, which is so important to our economy today, technology on trails that these children can use to learn about things, like how to play Halo better or what Justin Biber is up to today.
