The GOP continues to insist on asset tests for children and parents enrolling in Medicaid, even though the practice (a) probably violates the “Obamacare” eligibility mandate, and (b) would have to be abandoned in January 2014 once “Obamacare” eligibility expansion takes effect. Why go to the trouble of spending money to implement a system that jeopardizes federal revenue and can’t be used for more than 18 months at best?

“Dirty Red” @ 4:05pm, I agree with your comment. Sen. Righter is free to disagree with Gov. Quinn’s policy decisions, but at least he seems to recognize that the Governor’s choices were not easy to make.
