“They offered me the opportunity to come into the tanks, help clean the tanks, draw awareness particularly with the Guinness Book of World Records large picnic attempt trying to be made. Of such things, even we individuals in our own lives can help mother earth,” Rutherford said.
His visit was part of the aquarium’s Picnic for the Planet celebration. It’s part of an attempt to set a world record for the most outdoor picnics in 24 hours across the globe.

Treasurer Dan Rutherford takes a training class to prepare him for working with the future fiscal condition of the State.
Treasurer Rutherford said about cleaning the shark tank, ” It reminded me of working in the General Assembly. Every once in a while you have to glance over your shoulder to see what’s sneaking up behind you.”

This will make a devastating campaign ad one day. I guess he figured Topinka has her pet deal so he has to have his fish. Hopefully Senator Kirk won’t go to the birds.

What a joke. Rutherford loves these meaningless stunts. This would have been done by staff at the Shedd anyway.
His voting record shows his non-support of the environment over the years.
