* The House Special Investigating Committee is meeting this morning at 10:30. Rep. Derrick Smith’s attorney is reportedly planning to attend the hearing and will speak. Expect fireworks.

Good to see owen irwin getting in the action. That is a great name by the way.
I really hope there’s at least one person in springfield who realizes how bad this makes the entire state and in particular the democratic party look to the country and with nato in chicago next week the world. 2 former Governors are in jail and right on the heels you have this vermin and this ridiculous episode. I am not sure how you go home and look at your constituents and family members and co workers and say I am proud of this public service I am a part of, but that’s between you and them.
Just disgusting.

The House can do what they want, but they really couldn’t expect Smith to talk in committee. I imagine he won’t talk at trial, which is his right.

Wow, Smith’s lawyer did a lot of sweating under Ellis’ interrogation. I thought I was looking at Nathan Therm on the Tv. I think Ellis teased out enough non-information to allow the committee to move ahead and not have to wait for the trial.
