  1. Clinton’s role in this campaign the last 5 months has been of epic proportions if obama had campaigned half as hard for any democrat in Illinois they’d be in a lot better position. The kirk-plummer ad is notable. I think it’s the first time in 12 years he’s ever participated in a general election ad that mentioned the word democrat and in a negative light.

  2. I would have loved to hear this Clintonism in person, November 5th

Clinton asks Philadelphia crowd: ‘Who wants a president who will knowingly, repeatedly tell you something he knows isn’t true?’

  3. I’d be mighty curious how effective that Kirk ad will do in that neck of the woods, given he’s not been in office for even two years yet. Name ID?

  4. Was that Kirk/Plummer robocall booked as an independent expenditure? Plummer is on the call. How is that not coordinated?

  5. I agree with the Professor. I doubt many folks in Plummer’s district know or care much about Kirk. He spent one year in the Senate and one year recovering from health problems- not much to grab their attention. Plus, a Republican endorsing a Republican is hardly news.

  6. Senator Kirk’s voice. He sounds strong and recovering well.

  7. Plutocrat03: You mean when Bubba went before national tv and utter the famous: “I did not have a sexual relationship with that woman.” Or was Bubba talking about POTUS?

  8. God, it is really sad to see how Kirk has aged. Hope the best for him as he trys to get on with his life.

  9. Wow. Seems that fundraising and Kirk’s help didn’t help Dold. Off to the Romney party!
