Can you say Glen Poshard (D)

Don’t be an idiot. Poshard didn’t skew those results. And if he had, it would be to the pro-gun side. He was the most pro-gun Democratic gubernatorial nominee in two generations.

    Again, don’t be an idiot.

  3. Todd Vandermyde & Tom Vandenberk…

Something tells me that in spite of the similar names, the committee members never confuse the two!

  4. I am getting old. I can recall when Lee Goodman was a Republican and an employee of Secretary of State George H. Ryan. Obviously, his politics have changed somewhat in the past two decades since he changed addresses.

  5. In order to be clear, I should have added that Lee Goodman is scheduled to appear as a witness at the Committee hearing. He is testifying as an opponent of legislation to authorize concealed carry permits.

  6. ==JACKSON, Miss. — The state of Mississippi has corrected a clerical error that left unrecorded ratification of the 13th Amendment for 18 years.==

Mississippi once again leads the way.

It should be noted that they didn’t get around to ratifying the 13th Amendment until 1995. I wonder why?

  7. Anything on JJJ & Sandi Jackson’s plea deals coming forth? I reviewed the posts since last Monday and don’t see anything about the plea deal.

It seems newsworthy, but perhaps we’re all sick of that subject.

  8. question to anyone who knows the law.

The Cook County States Attorney just said “Cook County SAO: Ruling only means that court thinks UUW law is unconstitutional. Only IL Supreme Court or US Supreme Court can change law”. Now my job is making sure buildings don’t fall down. But i was pretty sure that when a court issues a decision that a law violates the U.S. Constitution that meant the law is unenforceable. Am i missing something???

Rep Jim Sacia says many in rural #IL don’t lock their doors; says lots of rural Illinoisians might lose a gun and not know it–

How about you be a responsible gun owner, Mr. FBI, and secure your firearms?

  10. Word, I hoped that he was speaking generally, not personally.
