Comment by Anonymous Wednesday, Apr 30, 14 @ 11:37 am

  16. Very bad proposal, no matter what you think about term limits.

I would bet less than 1/2 of 1% of the signers actually realized they were signing on for changing the size, structure, and processes of the legislature, and the Governor’s veto prerogatives, in addition to term limits.

To fold it all into one, while publicly touting only term limits, is so misleading to the voters, as to approach deliberate fraud, IMO.

But credit to his organization; he pulled it off.

He and his money will also pull off staffed campaign field offices, where none would otherwise exist.

  19. If you thinks I was stupid to spend over $500K for petitions for a change no one cares about, think how stupid my opponents will be for spending $600K to try and invalidate them!

Comment by Arizona Bob Wednesday, Apr 30, 14 @ 11:46 am

  20. Whenever someone does this, it reminds me of this:

“On Thursday, in the midst of his second “State of the State” speech, Gov. Rod Blagojevich stopped speaking in order to retrieve an 18-inch stack of paper from behind the podium”

“At one point during Blagojevich’s speech, the governor picked up a stack of papers that he said were 2,800 pages of the board’s administrative rules. He referred to them as a “bureaucratic nightmare.”"

“Blagojevich’s audience of legislators laughed and clapped Thursday when he held up a foot-high stack of papers - 2,800 pages, he said - of agency rules that schools must follow.”

  60. I’m not crazy about the concept of term limits. I hate the structural changes. However, I pray that it survives the inevitable challenges and gets on the map. The process as it exists is rigged and revolting, and I am convinced this is the only hope for real reform. And no matter how much money he put behind it, 591K petitions is impressive.
