Republican Lt. Gubernatorial Candidate Evelyn Sanguinetti made a stop in Bloomington Thursday morning to talk an alleged secret program by Governor Pat Quinn to release prisoners early.
Sanguinetti says those criminals went on to commit more crime. WJBC News asked Sanguinetti what the Rauner administration would do about crime in Illinois if elected.
“For starters it’s not to have the secret program to put criminals out on the street and putting our families in jeopardy,” said Sanguinetti. “As a mother of three small children, I would have certainly liked to know and object.”

At the rate rauner inc is going he might consider being more prudent in his criticism of early release.

The secret program ole Slip and Sue doesn’t line about is to have her zig zag throughout Illinois, avoiding the Press at all costs.
Slip and Sue is possibly the most inept candidats for LG who is clueless to how inept he/she really is.
How Slip and Sue is not embarrassed by her incompetence is mind-boggling.

The hook is not that it’s a secret program the hook is that you’re in danger and you don’t even know it.

Come on Evelyn. You and your running mate need to become acquainted with the law. Derrick Almon was never released from prison early nor is there any such early release program. He was released when he statutorily had to be released, based on his sentence from the courts. What makes this despicable is you know that and yet you continue to try and mislead the public.

She’s insane. Bat-crazy insane. I’ll never vote for Rauner, but the fact that he chose her is bizarre — especially when he could have picked someone … less insane and more informed about, oh, actual policy.

Wait, do they actually not have any policy ready on crime? Rich, your headline yesterday was “Rauner pivots to crime.” What kind of message calendar are they running if they’re pivoting without any policy ready? It doesn’t have to be the Moynihan Report, but sheesh, have an answer ready when they ask what the plan is.

I kinda feel bad for her: first statewide campaign, she’s obviously not ready, but add to her plight the fact that she’s gotta become immediately proficient in the double-talk Rauner has spent a career perfecting. And then she has to combine her attempt at snake oil salesmanship with her obvious orders from above to stay strictly on message: zigzag is just one example of something she was obviously told to say by handlers.
She really sounds awful. Has she agreed to any debates? Vallas will be in the position Biden was with Palin- be extremely careful not to condescend or run up the score…

Plus, this idea of “jobs, jobs, jobs” is essentially meaningless with Rauner. He’s outsourced jobs and he’s fired workers from his various bankrupted firms.
What in the world — and I can’t say this emphatically emough — what in the world makes people thing that a guy — an old, rich white guy — so cavalier about the jobs he’s vanquished over 20+ years — what makes people think that this kind of guy — this amoral, rabid capitalist — can possibly attract — or, better yet, *create* jobs — in a state like Illinois?
Where is Rauner’s record on jobs? He’s fired people, he’s laid off people, and he’s bankrupted firms. What’s this old, rich, pro-abortion white guy gonna do to attract *jobs* to Illinois?
It’s bat-crazy insane. I’d say it more emphatically, but I can’t.

Obviously, Rauner is opposed to abortions despite his “no social agenda” agenda — shorthand for “I’m as convervative as they come — and then some.”

I believe the comment was- the number one job of an elected is public safety, but yet she doesn’t know how to define or even what public safety is. The first decision that we saw Rauner make was choosing Sanguinetti, and he chose someone who it seems had no qualifications and very little real substance. He’s been successful in everything he’s done — including picking a Lite Gov nominee who’s a joke.
