Rauner reminds me of Blago insisting the Genl Assy be in session when they had nothing to do.

I’m quite sure that if there is a breakthrough, someone can call a special session and have quorums back in action in 72 hrs.

In the meantime he should just give it a rest.

Rauner says Duncan and Phillips introduced a “real” bill regarding higher ed funding.
Real bill? Too bad it didn’t mention one university the bill would fund and when asked, Duncan listed only 4. Yeah, that is a real bill.

My thoughts are the same as BBG. The guy has TONS of money, is the Governor of our fine state, and he looks like he slept in his clothes last night. Get someone to tell him that he looks like a governor that can’t get anything done in his state!!

What makes a bill a “sham bill?” If it passes both chambers and is signed into law, won’t it be in effect? Why are some bills shams?

It sounds like Rauner’s peeps are afraid they are being hung out to dry at the polls for not being allowed to vote on bills this past year. What does Rauner do? He blames the Dems.

So, he wore a tie today, but repeated the same old tired excuses and whines. Everything is WRONG. Not doin’ their job. There’s no money. I ignore polls.

He’s being frustrated. I get it. But he is also being very much the hypocrite. He doesn’t want to be ignored, but he ignores the “common” people (EIU presser) who he wants to have champion him! He says these no money, but it will magicalky apoear for bills he wants votes called in. And to top it off, his agencues are still writing and sugning contracts for FY17 while scheming to not pay FY16 contracts and obligations.
