* Actually, it’s from last night just before the game…

What a joke FS1. Interviewed members of the Dodgers 1988 World Series Champions team and NO ONE from the Cubs 1908 Championship team.

— Joe Wagstaff (@Joe_Wagstaff) October 18, 2016

* After the game…

Game was rigged. No other possible explanation. Those who disagree are part of the conspiracy.

  3. The problem last night, pure and simple, was lack of hitting on the Cubs part. No need to invent conspiracy theories …

Comment by RNUG Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:22 am

  4. The whole thing is rigged by the mainstream media…but also the umpires…SAD!

I’m not even going to say this, because it is too shocking, but I believe the Dodgers are having relations with MLB officials. Not going to say it. BAD!

    Comment by illini97 Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 10:24 am

  5. If the announcers didn’t spend so much time focusing on the Cubs’ errors then he would’ve seen all the ones from the Dodgers. Sad!

  19. Exactly right! Who wants to watch a team of losers?

I tried to tune in the Cards or the White Sox games, but they were not televised. Damn!

Comment by Anonymous Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:10 am

  20. Not to mention the increase of sportswriter voter fraud (favoring the Dodgers). When will people realize that Major League Baseball is corrupt.

Comment by Jocko Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 11:55 am

  21. Update:

Vladimir Putin emphatically denies Russia is trying to influence the outcome of the NLCS: “We’re waiting for the World Series.”

  24. Oh just face the fact that the Cubs are the French army of Major League Baseball.

Comment by Peorgie Tirebiter Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:07 pm

  25. The Cubs need to take a drug test before tonight’s game. Bartman will be brought to tonight’s game and will sit in the Dodgers’ dugout.

Comment by Grandson of Man Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:12 pm

  26. Even after preparing for just this moment, they never saw the curveball coming.

Comment by Casual observer Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:16 pm

  27. In Game 1, after the Grand Slam, followed by the solo Home Run propelling the Cubs to victory, Cubs Radio announcer made a similar statement…

    “Save some of these runs”

The Cubs have yet… to score another run.

Pitching beats hitting, every time. Kershaw and Hill were brilliant as much as the Cubs, some Cubs, are ice cold at the plate.

My fear is tonight may not go “well”, and Kershaw takes the bump again… with things more dire than they are now.

Comment by Oswego Willy Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:28 pm

  28. The Cubs believe the Dodgers are just a JV team.

Comment by Casual observer Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:30 pm

  29. Rumor has it the Cubs practice differently in private than how they play in public.

Comment by Casual observer Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:42 pm

  30. Everybody wants to know…will the leaders shake hands before tonight’s matchup?

Ok, I’m done. This was fun.

Comment by Casual observer Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:49 pm

  31. Ok, 1 more.

When they throw low, we swing high.

Comment by Casual observer Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 12:58 pm

  32. Next year they’ll hit the curve.

Comment by walker Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 1:58 pm

  33. Hopefully, the Cubs built a nice bonfire with their bats after last night’s game.

And the Ricketts chartered a plane to Louisville to pick up an emergency supply from Hillerich and Bradsby. Be sure to specify: bats with hits in them.

Still, to be on the safe side, the Cubs should send the clubhouse kid into East L.A. for a couple of live chickens to sacrifice before the game.

Lackey and Lester are known to enjoy chicken in the clubhouse.

Getting shut out two games in a row in the playoffs is certainly alarming. But win tonight, and it’s a best of three with Cubs regaining home field.

    So… win tonight.

Comment by wordslinger Wednesday, Oct 19, 16 @ 1:58 pm

  34. Based on last night’s game there is considerable reason to believe that Bartman, a black cat, and an unnamed goat were all present somewhere in Dodgers stadium.

I do have skin in all of this by the way, while none of my family members were present at the Cubs old west side stadium for any of the 1908 world series games because of a ticket fraud scandal that scared them away. One was present at the September 5, 1918 World Series game when the Boston Red Sox defeated the Cubs one to nothing playing of all places at Comiskey Park with Babe Ruth pitching for the Red Sox, he was my maternal grandfather who I never knew. Here is a link to a 1918 Cubs team photo https://southcarolina1670.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/1918-chicago-cubs.jpg

Now that I am closing in on 70 years old I am indeed in a state of deep distress after last night. I was at the game Sunday night and felt it was just what it was one of those games where hitters get dominated which does happen, but last night was let us say upsetting.
