IL story for night? Rs do well in House races, decent in Senate. But lose top prize (Comptroller). Illinois voters say “Madigan- we don’t approve of your work in the House. Rauner - we don’t approve of your work statewide.”

Rauner over Madigan tonight, pretty convincingly. But this was but the undercard for the battle to come in 2018, so expect more gridlock and fighting in Springfield.

Not seeing a clear victory since I thought 66 was the number.
Rauner needs 7 House votes to do anything.

Rauner won by default. Because of….Trump. 3 Supreme Court nominees. Frierichs vs California will be ruled on by next fall. The great labor war? A skirmish at best. Missouri with a Republican gov. Will be RTW in a year. Illinois labor is surrounded. 13%? the term ‘organized labor’ will only apply to professional sports. Sorry. Rauner won and he couldn’t even say the guys name who got him the win.
