Well, if that’s what it takes to keep the IPI and Proft out of the Senate so they can get a deal done I’m all for it!

  2. Get it together, Rich.

  5. Great. Looks like the Russians hacked Rich. We should have guessed that all this talk about the Senate’s grand bargain was “fake news” planted by Putin. J/K

  6. It’s a widespread issue:

  8. I replaced it with a temporary fix. Sorry for the trouble

  9. I can see that Senator Cullerton added on at least $20 million to SB 6 by his amendment 3 this morning. It’s for the construction of a Metra Station located at the intersection of 79th Street and Lowe Avenue in Chicago. A million here a million there, that’s the way of the grand bargain.

  10. FWIW this temporary fix seems better than the original (unless there are just some features i’m not utilizing on the ScribbleLive), it renders much better / takes up less space on the page.

  11. We have made a little progress — at least all the pension proposals no longer involve those already retired.

  12. Looks like most Senate Rs chose not to follow their leader on SB 3, 4, 5, 6. Has Radogno been hung out to dry now? Those votes, and I am guessing similar ones in the House, really do not look like anyone on their side of the aisle wants this compromise. Good cover for a Rauner veto and fodder for his PR network.

    Meh. It’s enough.

  14. I have trust in the process, but real distrust of the administration.

  15. New - how would a “Chicago bailout” yes vote play in, say, Senator Fowler’s district? I will agree that some things like procurement and local government consolidation votes are hard to explain, but some bills clearly would cause plenty of heartburn when trying to explain back home and to a group of angry constituents.
