  1. Leave it to a Kennedy to turn a day intended to honor fallen soldiers into a post about the Kennedy’s

  2. All Pawar can do is retweet? Why am i not surprised that Mr progressive cant have some original heartfelt words for anyone in the military. It doesnt fit the progressive narrative i guess

  3. This is not the day for competitors to snipe at each other.

I think one reason Americans in the 1950’s and 1960’s found bipartisan compromise easy was because they had faced a common and deadly enemy. Kennedy and Nixon knew they had much in common. So did their partisan supporters.

Today we cannot reach agreements over small differences. It makes little sense to those of us who appreciate the many beliefs that unite Americans.

  9. First…

Memorial Day. Today, we remember the fallen who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It is right & just we take today to remember.

    To the tweets,

It’s important that each Crew does make certain their own meaning to what this is is intended, without losing sight of what the day means to so many and its own origin and meaning.

It’s a solemn day. It’s a day to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, a sacrifice we can’t fully repay. I’m glad the tones reflect these ideals.

    Dear Anonymous,
Both served. One didn’t come back. This is their day. I suspect your a pro-war for others, you like the 1st century wars for fun and profit.

  14. Wow. I didn’t realize Chris Kennedy is related to The Kennedy’s. He’s never capitalized on that connection before. /s

  15. Remembering his relatives is exactly what every other one of us who have family members who served in long past wars or were lost in combat did yesterday. No matter what you think of his gubernatorial bid, criticizing Chris Kennedy for publicly recognizing exactly why Memorial Day is both a National holiday and a personal holiday for many of us is the lowest of class.
