The Rodney Dangerfield of the Illinois Senate

Posted in:

* For whatever reason, people continue messing up Sen. Tom Cullerton’s name and title.

The Villa Park Democrat has been referred to as “State Sen. Tom Fullerton” and “Sen. Tom Fullerton (D-Marion).”

On several occasions, Tom has been mistakenly identified as Senate President John Cullerton. Once, John Cullerton was referred to as Tom Cullerton, the “majority speaker of the Senate.” Another time, John was called “Senate Majority Leader Tom Cullerton.”

* Today’s oops may be the best yet, however

The legislation now goes to the Illinois Senate, where Democratic state Sen. Tom Johnson, a relative of Senate President John Cullerton, is sponsoring the legislation.
