Buy a shirt, do some good

Posted in:

* From Will Stephens…

Rich,

The link to the “Missing Illinois Budget” T-Shirts is as follows.

www.shopsilkworm.com/missingbudget

The page gives folks the ability to choose one of 3 agencies in the state for the profits from the T-Shirts to go to. They are $12, which will make the profit on the shirts about $7 each.

Just trying to make some lemonade out of lemons.

BTW, on the back the shirt says…

I didn’t want to take any other stance on the back of the shirt, because the point is to raise money for the Services Providers and if I make it too partisan, I might eliminate half my customer base.

* They’re only 12 bucks, so click on the pic and order your t-shirt today

  6. There’s a spelling error on the back — hopefully this isn’t identical to the final product.

    I’ll buy one when the error is corrected!

  7. Looks like the spelling error on the back is fixed. Right Said, you might need a nap, cranky much?

  8. ===you might need a nap, cranky much? ===

    The number of morons who I’ve had to delete because of their ridiculous complaining about a little t-shirt fundraiser has really boggled my mind today. Don’t like the shirt, don’t buy it. Don’t want to contribute to charity, skip the post.

    But criticizing somebody who’s trying to help even in a small way is unforgivable. Go away. Never come back.

  9. Missed the morons, and I don’t mind at all. Thanks again for your timely and reasonable moderating of this forum, Mr. Miller. It’s a big reason I always come back–dependable quality.

  10. Please understand I’m not quibbling–Chicago Coalition for the Homeless isn’t an option. It’s Unity Parenting of Chicago instead (I googled it for us):

    “Providing housing and social services to Chicago’s most vulnerable children, youth and adults for over 30 years.

    “Unity Parenting and Counseling, Inc. is a private-non-profit organization providing a range of services in the areas of foster and kinship care, foster/kinship care conversion adoptions, violence prevention and parenting training, in-home parenting coaching, counseling, housing for homeless youth and families, low threshold, youth, emergency, overnight shelter, permanent housing for homeless disabled people and their families, transitional housing for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and reducing underage drinking, particularly in at risk youth and the public school system.”
