    SA: Governor Rauner came to our caucus and demanded we vote No on the override. When I refused, he threatened to have me primaried. He was stupid, I was lucky; I’ll visit him soon. The important thing is that nothing interferes with our plans for the future. Yours and mine.

    MJM: You’re a wise and considerate young man.

    SA: And you’re a great man Mr. Speaker. There’s much I can learn from you.

    MJM: Whatever I can do to help. You’re young, I’m old and sick. What we’ll do together in the next few months will make history, Steve, history. It’s never been done before. Not even the Governor would dream that such a thing could be possible.

    SA: Then Rauner’s agenda for the special session is dead, you don’t object?

    MJM: Bruce Rauner is small potatoes.
