Hi Rich,
This weekend we held our town hall, which went all right for a bunch of amateurs (long video here).

I spent the last two days creating a video putting these two “events” side by side, hopefully to humorous effect. I will be officially sharing tomorrow morning, but I thought you might be interested in breaking this bizarre video.

*** UPDATE *** From Congressman Bost…
On Saturday, August 5th, Indivisible activists hosted a town hall meeting at 2pm. From 10am-3:15pm that same day, Congressman Bost participated in a long-planned visit to Scott Air Force Base where he reviewed operations of the 932nd Airlift Wing. Later that weekend and on his own personal time, Congressman Bost recorded a lighthearted video at the request of family friends who were working to raise money for charity. While doing so in no way interfered with his congressional duties, we’re aware that some folks will never let facts get in the way of a good story.

The young women in this video are my daughter and daughter-in-law. They shot this on Sunday after church for about ten minutes for an international scavenger hunt and charity. Representative Bost was nice enough to help out. THIS WAS NOT SHOT ON SATURDAY, and to imply it was is simply a lie. As for Rep. Bost you will not find a better guy and a more honest representative for our region. Not many would have helped out, he went the extra mile!

My daughter and daughter-in-law were the young ladies in the video. This was shot in about ten minutes on Sunday after church, NOT SATURDAY! To imply anything else is a lie. This was for an international scavenger hunt for fun and charity. Mike Bost was nice enough to help out. Turns out he is a great guy and a fantastic rep for our area!

Going after a Congressman because you don’t like them and finding out what they did was for charity after church, priceless.
At some point the Democrats better get a message instead of this game that the other side is mean. Just because you can make someone else look bad doesn’t mean you know any better or can do the job.

Way to go, Indivisible 12th! Bost has continuously refused to meet with constituents. When Indivisible groups banded together and hired off-duty police to ensure candidate’s safety to remove that excuse, they still refused. No more excuses!

2 days? Here is an idea. If you want to beat Bost or any other incumbent get out of your house, away from your computer and knock on doors and talk to voters. Otherwise it is a waste of our time and your own.

One more thing the edited video needs to be taken down. The clear implication is that Representative Bost skipped a town hall to do a video is a total fabrication. Also, an acknowledgement that this was either intentionally misleading or just a mistake by the editor of the video should be made. I would like clarification as to why this was made to look like Rep. Bost was off doing a video instead of attending a town hall when that wasn’t true?

Red Ranger - Sorry to bust your bubble but no consultant involved. This was two young women that wanted to do a video for an international scavenger hunt and charity. They got a hold of Rep. Bost and he thought it would help out a charity and be fun. Nothing more. Again, why is this video still up when it is obviously intended to mislead? Where is the explanation or apology?

So I haven’t commented for a while, but the person posting as The Other Anonymous at 4:59PM Aug 9 is not the same as the person who has posted for eight years or so under that moniker.
I did not see this entry until after the link was removed so I have no opinion about this video. I just don’t want any confusion about past posts.
