A Dock Walls, Jim Tobin gubernatorial ticket?

Posted in:

* Perennial Chicago mayoral candidate Dock Walls says he wants to run for governor. If you click here to see his petitions, you’ll see he is planning to run as an independent with James Tobin as his running mate. Jim Tobin of Taxpayers United regularly expresses anti-Lincoln, neo-Confederate views about the Civil War. Walls is an African-American…

The people of Illinois have to act to make certain we have choices. Download a Walls-Tobin Petition and get your family and friends to sign. Notarize it and mail it to Walls For Gov,47 West Polk St. #152. 60605. https://t.co/F7DRbeEYgT https://t.co/0j2ASHkWwi

He’ll need to gather 25,000 petition signatures by late June. That’s probably impossible without some help from somebody with some cash.

Illinois is so weird.

  8. why don’t the instructions include the legal limitations on who can sign and circulate an Independent petition? Like the prohibition against those who voted R or D or circulated R or D in the primary?

  10. 47 W Polk… Thats the Dearborn Station (where Santa Fe trains once went to and from LA. Headhouse and clock tower were renovated about 30 years ago. Not many tenants.

Rent was probably cheap unless they mean the post boxes at the UPS store on the ground floor. Maybe I’ll swing by to see all the activity…
