Rauner finally comes through for HRO

Posted in:

* I told subscribers earlier today this could be happening soon….

$2,000,000 A1 to House Republican Organizationhttps://t.co/Hwx1cx33r4

— Illinois Sunshine (@ilsunshine) July 23, 2018

The $2 million is from Gov. Rauner’s campaign fund. The House Republican Organization has been operating on fumes for months.

By this point two years ago, however, Rauner had already given HRO $3 million, so he’s still behind.

…Adding… Ouch!…

It’s unknown at this time whether Durkin was required to receive the contribution in cash from Willie Wilson on Sunday. #twill https://t.co/95tNntsmfT

  2. Rich, you should get a commission from Durkin and Brady. Without you staying on top of this, I think Rauner would have been tempted to cut his losses and keep his checkbook locked in the drawer.

  5. ILGOP crying for Rauner’s cash is like watching hobos fight with seagulls over spilled McDonalds fries in a dumpster.

  6. Durkin and Brady may want to save some of that money. What will they do if Rauner loses?

  7. There’s a point here the Dems should learn. While I’m glad JB is helping out the county parties and candidates up and down the ballot, a party should never give up its ties to grassroots and low dollar fundraising as it both helps with money, but also keeping ties to to the grassroots. So what happens to the ILGOP in 2020? Who is going to write that check?

  8. So now all those pro life GOP reps will just take what he says not call him out for what he is. Just think Brady a pro life GOP, will he stand up and tell Rauner just how wrong his actions are or maybe call him out. Money talks.

  11. 1.4% - Don’t spend it all in one place. After I lose the election, there won’t be anymore money coming from me.

  12. When is his AG pick going to get more dough? Or is Rauner fading on her? I assume the other GOP statewide candidates get just about nothing.
