Didn’t see that on Chicago TV.
Lot of the Rauner warm-and-fuzzy spot, “still believe in Illinois,” or something like that.

kind of a bizarre ad from Brother. I don’t think there is a Republican left in this state that thinks BVR is a conservative. I don’t think Bruce himself would call him a conservative but you do you Sammy.

It’s a “B”
The words expressing where Rauner isn’t a Republican and the “focus” part of the ad should keep McCann at that 5% or more. Add in that Trump tag at the end… could be more interesting.
Rauner isn’t a Republican. Rauner is in no way a conservative.
It’s a “B”. We’ll see if it’s Ives type damaging to Rauner.

Ad ran yesterday slamming Sammy for claiming to be a Marine when he wasn’t, his personal tax problems , the large amount of reimbusrement for mileage and just about everything else.

If you’re a Republican in a blue state who is trailing in the polls and you are forced to spend money on ads attacking a third party candidate, all hope is lost.

Good effort by McCann to point out to Trump supporters and anti-abortion voters that Rauner isn’t one of them.
The only drawback I can see is that the spot could help Rauner with the condescendin’, mansplainin’, jag vote.

I can’t wait until Rauner is gone. He is just god awful. Go back to making millions by tearing down companies, because you have the likability of wet noodle.

Three central Illinois legislators were flushed out of their chairs when Rauner came to Springfield. Sam McCann did not yield to Rauner’s bluff, bluster, carrot & stick routine.
The governor’s campaign expenditures toward maligning McCann indicate he made a big, big miscalculation.

This might be the worst ad of the season. It misses its target by a mile. There is plenty of ammo to use if you want to paint Rauner as not a conservative. This is about the least effective way of conveying that info.
The playful music and the visual of his treatment of Vinicky are at odds. The graphics are clumsy and hard to read. The overall tone feels like it’s trying to be a funny ad but the topic isn’t funny at all.
Whoever made this ad failed.

They are actually going to air this POS? It’s bad, really bad. Maybe the 15 insiders will get it, but no one else will. Not done by a professional, that is for sure. F is my grade.

Decent ad. It identifies Rauner’s inability to do the right thing. It also shows his unwillingness to answer simple questions. Bad votes, and bad communication skills, leads to poor communication skills. “B”
