Hey an odd FYI, I received a robocall last night at my home in Peoria County, on behalf of the GOP candidate against John D’Amico. Obviously an error somehow, but errors like this always make me wonder how many other wasted contacts they made.
D’Amico is a Chicago Democrat.
* Mike Bost and the ILGOP go with Hillary, Madigan, Pelosi and Trump…
That piece has a very retro feel to it, and I don’t just mean the inclusion of Hillary Clinton.

YES DANIEL I AM JOKING. YOU ARE A LOVELY PERSON AND I HAVE NEVER KNOWN YOU TO COMMIT OR EVEN ATTEMPT ARSON.
Also, what’s with all this angled camera stuff on the Casten videos. It’s strange — “I need you to vote’ should be direct to camera. Otherwise it seems like one of those parties where someone is talking to you but looking over your shoulder.
AND DANIEL BISS WOULD NEVER DO THAT EITHER. HE IS VERY POLITE.

I voted by mail for the first time this time. It’s handy, but it’s not as much fun as going to the polls. I would do it again if I feel like I won’t be able to get to a polling place.
Liberal wave. These people wouldn’t know a real liberal if real liberals all turned bright blue.

I absolutely hate yard signs and mailers. They serve no purpose than to sway uninformed voters who choose to stay uninformed.

Kinda weird commercial with Dan Biss. Not sure anyone in those parts have any idea who he is. The fire juggling was the concept I guess they decided to write around. I agree about the off camera shots. That’s just strange.
Burning signs in yards? Yeah, that’s pretty awful. From the looks of the ground, it looks like some flammable material or liquid was used. From the looks of the sign? The arsonist does’t appear proficient. That’s dangerous near a house. Awful.

I live in Chicago but my phone has the area code of a once-upon-a-time home that has a lot of barn burners going on. I’ve received at least a dozen outreach attempts (polls, texts from campaigns, etc.). I haven’t lived in that area for decades. It does make you wonder.

Boy that Casten guy seems really scary. Trillions in new taxes. Wow. Well I’m definitely going to believe such hysterical claims from Peter Roskam.
Side note: does anybody believe it when politicians launch such brazen hysterical BS? Obviously it’s what Trump is counting on. If you listen to his rallies, you’d know that electing a Democratic House means open borders, MS13 teachers, cats and dogs living together and mass hysteria.

What this election has proven to me more than any other is how ill-informed voters are. I live in Roskam’s district and spoke with some women I go to church with who support Casten because they are anti-Trump. They are pro-choice Catholics (you know, I would never do it, but I don’t want to tell someone they can’t). I asked them if they knew that Casten supported abortion up until birth and that he wants to get rid of the Hyde amendment. They had no idea. They also didn’t know that he likened abortion to gall bladder surgery. I think that there is so much voting against Trump that people aren’t really paying attention to what the other side stands for, and they are going to be in for a real surprise in many cases.
